T8 Electronic Ballasts typically use 25% to 40% less energy than magnetic

T5 Fluorescent Lighting Systems provide higher lumens per watt than
T8’s or T12’s thus requiring fewer lamps and are up to 40% smaller
than other fluorescent systems allowing for smaller fixtures. After 8,000
hours or 40% of their average life, T5’s still produce 95% of their
original output while offering excellent color rendition and greater efficiency. |

Pulse-Start Metal Halide systems substantially reduce the amount
of energy used by providing higher lumen per watt output than standard metal
halides. Other benefits of pulse-start metal halides include longer lamp
